Busy times.

I have been busy recently, doing all sorts of promotional materials, applying for sponsorships. Couple of very positive news, my old sponsors, DT Swiss, agreed to supply a pair of XR400 rims for my new wheels, this time in white. Then I got a nice e mail form Andy Tee from Abbey Sport & Leisure, Leicester telling me that they will be happy to sponsor me with a complimentary membership. This comes as a great help, I can finally start my winter training, I’m going for a session tomorrow. Then I was back to my writing skills, to do a piece for Bike Magic about my Lynskey.  http://www.bikemagic.com/gear-news/bike-porn-lynskey-speedway-bike/9260.html

On monday my work colleague read to me an info about a challenge in London.I then immediately made it happen, and arranged my work around it. It’s an event which is all about new Sky Team’s sponsor, IG markets. They have organised a show called Square Mile Challenge, a stationary bike (Wattbike) race over 1 mile. Thats not bad You would have thought… but You have to race the pros from Sky team, including Olympic multi medalist Bradley Wiggins. The good thing is, the distance suits me more than it suits them. I believe I can do it, well, at least I can give them a good run. Shame I haven’t been training, but I’m very positive. Oh, and if I do beat any of them, I get an £8000 carbon bike, ridden by them in one of the tours. How good is that?? Even better, if I fail to beat a pro, and finish on top of the non pros, I win a £1200 Pinarello.Last time I ridden on one of the Wattbikes… I won the Leicesters Skyride sprint challenge.

I must thank my work mate Simon, for swapping days off with me.
